With a length of 32 kms and a year-round population of 18,000, rising to over 150,000 at the height of summer, the island of Ré is home to 10 villages, each brimming with charms and wonders to discover.
Of these 10 villages, 2 have been awarded the " Plus Beaux Villages de France" label, the village where you'll be camping at Le Cormoran: Ars-en-Ré, on the west side of the Ile de Ré, and the village of La Flotte en Ré.

But l'île de Ré is also "l'île à vélo" (the island by bike), with more than 100kms of cycle paths for bike enthusiasts. It's a great way to discover the island through its villages and flower-filled lanes, salt marshes, state forests, fields, vineyards and seaside...
And for riding enthusiasts and novices alike, several riding centers offer horseback rides, in the forest and sometimes even on the beach!!!!
